Doctor Indian is a directory, not a source of medical advice. Nothing on this site should be treated as a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or endorsement of any doctor, hospital or diagnostic center. Always consult a qualified medical professional directly.

How profiles are verified

Every doctor profile must include an NMC (National Medical Commission) or State Medical Council registration number and qualifications. Our team reviews each submission for completeness and plausibility before publishing. Profiles show a “last verified” date, and we re-verify chamber schedules periodically since they change often. Anyone can flag incorrect information from a profile page, and we investigate every report.

Doctors are never ranked by payment

We do not sell “best doctor” rankings, testimonials, or search-position placement for individual doctors, in line with India's medical ethics guidance on professional advertising. Within a search result, doctors are ordered by verification status, rating and relevance — never by how much they or anyone else paid us.

How featured placement works

Hospitals and diagnostic centers can apply for a verified badge and featured placement in listings, clearly marked as such. This does not affect the factual content of any doctor's profile, and paid placement is always visually distinguished from organic results.

Reviews and moderation

Patient reviews are moderated before publication. We remove reviews that are defamatory, contain personal medical details about someone other than the reviewer, appear to be spam or fake, or violate applicable law. We do not remove genuine negative reviews simply because a doctor or facility requests it, unless they are factually inaccurate or breach this policy.

Corrections

If information on Doctor Indian is inaccurate or outdated, tell us at contact@doctorindian.com or use the “Report an issue” link on any profile. We aim to review correction requests within a few business days.

Advertising separation

Display advertising is sold and served separately from editorial content, is labelled as an advertisement, and does not influence which doctors, hospitals or diagnostic centers appear in search results.
