About Doctor Indian

Doctor Indian was built to answer one question quickly and honestly: which doctor, where, and when can I see them? Most platforms in India today are built around booking and paid consultations, which means their public listings are thin outside the doctors who use their software. Senior government-hospital doctors with private evening chambers, smaller-city specialists, and doctors who simply prefer phone appointments are often missing entirely.

We take a different approach. Doctor Indian is an information-first directory — every profile shows the doctor's NMC or State Medical Council registration number, qualifications, designation, experience, and the full schedule for every chamber they practice from, including multi-chamber doctors who see patients at different locations on different days. There is no booking engine and no paid ranking for individual doctors — the phone call to confirm your visit is always between you and the doctor's chamber.

What we verify

Every doctor profile is checked against the details submitted, including registration number and qualifications, before it is published. Profiles show a “last verified” date, and anyone can report outdated information directly from a profile page — we investigate every report.

How we sustain this

Doctor Indian is free for patients and for doctors to be listed. Hospitals and diagnostic centers can apply for a verified badge and featured placement, and we run limited, clearly labelled display advertising. We do not sell patient data, and we do not accept payment in exchange for a doctor's ranking or medical claims — see our Editorial Policy for details.
